Brieland Watkins Chooses SMC for Basketball

Brieland Watkins of Grand Rapids Catholic Central High School has signed his NJCAA Letter of Intent to continue his academic and basketball career with the SMC Roadrunners.

SMC Head Coach Rodell Davis said, "Brieland is a person who does what you need him to do. Whether that's scoring, rebounding or locking up the other team's best player. He is a winner and will be a great addition to our team. He's a great student and young man, who will represent SMC in the highest manner!"

Watkins joins Kenaz Jackson, Jr. and Myair Thompson, both of Kankakee, Illinois, in the 2026 SMC Men's Basketball recruiting class.
