Tana Drobek Picks SMC
Tana Drobek of Mattawan High School has signed her NJCAA Letter of Intent to run cross country for Coach Zac Sartori and the Roadrunners starting in Fall 2026. Drobek will also compete in track and field for SMC.
Coach Sartori said, ""Tana is one of those untapped talents. I think she's got a very high ceiling and I'm looking forward to watching her compete and grow as an athlete. She is going to help elevate us to the next level."
Drobek joins Jocelyn Kiner of Dowagiac in the 2026 SMC Women's Cross Country recruiting class.
In September 2025, the Roadrunners shocked the field and won the MCCAA Western Conference championship on their home course in Dowagiac. The team then finished the season ranked 18th in the country after competing in the NJCAA National Championships in unseasonably cold and snowy conditions at the Lakeside Golf Course in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
Student-athletes interested in competing on any of SMC's nine intercollegiate teams as a Roadrunner should complete the Recruiting Form at https://smcroadrunners.com/landing/index
