Zamiya Walker Joins the Roadrunners

Zamiya Walker of East Kentwood High School has signed her NJCAA Letter of Intent to compete in track and field for the SMC Roadrunners.

Head Coach Zac Sartori said, "Zamiya is a talented young thrower who's very athletic and without extensive experience in the throws, Coach Trejo and I expect that she will see real improvement over the next two years. Zamiya also happens to be a talented singer. I'll be delighted to hear her perform this year and hope that she'll get involved in some of the choir concerts directed by Professor David Carew."

Coach Chad Ray of East Kentwood added, "Zee is a quick-study athlete and provides leadership through her work ethic and inclusive behaviors. "

Walker joins Diamond McCalvin of Benton Harbor, Adeline Weber of Berrien Springs and Taylor Bolle of Constantine in the 2026 SMC Women's Track and Field recruiting class. Numerous other student-athletes will compete in both women's cross country and women's track for the Roadrunners.
