Laila Collier-White to Play For SMC

Laila Collier-White of St. Catherine's High School in Racine, Wisconsin, has chosen Southwestern Michigan College to continue her education and play women's basketball for the Roadrunners starting in Fall 2026.

Head Coach Ariana Dampier said, "Laila is a dynamic guard who scored over 1,500 points in high school. That alone speaks to how gifted she is. She's quick, competitive, and has a true scorer's mentality, which is exactly what we need to take our program to the next level. Her ability to shoot, drive, and create will help us space the floor and play the style we want. I'm excited to coach her and watch her blossom into a great player."

Collier-White joins Kinah Dyer of Hamtramck, Michigan, Olivia Howard of Haines City, Florida, Amaya Henderson of Oak Park, Illinois, Jayla Tyler of Chicago Heights, Illinois, La'Niya Willis of Plainfield, Illinois, and Jessica Thornton of Niles, Michigan, in the 2026 SMC Women's Basketball recruiting class.
