Women Hoopers Win Both This Week

SMC Women's Basketball dominated two games this week against rivals Glen Oaks and Lake Michigan, winning both and pushing their Western Conference record to 3-2.

On Wednesday in the 1st Source Bank Fieldhouse, SMC took no Viking prisoners, not allowing Glen Oaks to score a single point in the first quarter and only 6 in the whole first half on their way to a 66-20 home victory. The Roadrunners were led by sophomore Rayvan Rush, who double-doubled with 18 points and 10 rebounds, Katlynn Williams-Clark with 14 points and Trinity Dale, who also double-doubled with 12 points and 22 boards, a new SMC rebound record.

On Saturday at Lake Michigan College, the Roadrunners ran out to a 12-0 lead on the Red Hawks and never looked back, grabbing a conference road W in a no-doubter, 86-50. Dale triple-doubled on Saturday, with 17 points, 15 rebounds and 12 assists.

The Roadrunners are now 3-2 in conference and 9-9 overall as they have a quick turnaround to play at #4 Lansing on Monday night.
