Women Take Road Loss at GRCC
SMC Women's Basketball fell behind early at GRCC on Saturday and lost to the Raiders, 81-55. The Roadrunners fought back from a 13-point deficit after Q1 and closed to within six at the half, but the Raiders pulled further ahead in the third and fourth quarters. SMC, who shot just 19% from deep and 50% from the free throw line are now 7-9 and 1-2 in the Western Conference. They were led by Kaitlynn Williams-Clark with 17 points, while Dee Robinson and CaSaundra Smith each added eight.
Next up, the Green and Gold travel to Lansing to face the #7-ranked Stars (14-2, 2-0) on Saturday, January 24.
