Men's Basketball Drops Two
SMC Men's Basketball had a tough week, losing at home to South Suburban and then on the road at Schoolcraft.
On Thursday, the Roadrunners fought hard but were outmanned and went down to the #13-ranked Bulldogs, 91-66. SMC was led by freshman Jovi Ratliff with 23 points and sophomore Davion Goins with 18.
On Saturday, SMC built a 14-point lead in the first half, and took a two-point margin into the break, but Schoolcraft got back into it and eventually won 62-59. Ratliff again led the team with 17 and Goins double-doubled with a dozen points and a dozen rebounds.
The Roadrunners take a 5-7 record into their last game of 2025 on Monday, when they host the Oakton Owls in a rare weekday matinee in the 1st Source Bank Fieldhouse.
